A seasoned banking executive with nearly 40 years of experience in financial services, specialising in risk management, credit governance, regulatory compliance, and strategic leadership. He previously served as Executive Head: Retail & Business Banking Risk at Nedbank Limited, where he oversaw a credit portfolio exceeding R420 billion and led key risk, AML/CFT, compliance, and governance initiatives.
During his tenure as Executive Head of RBB Risk, he directed enterprise-wide risk management across all risk categories, while leading major digital transformation and regulatory compliance projects. As Executive Head of Retail Risk, he strengthened risk appetite frameworks and portfolio governance for a retail portfolio valued at R182 billion.
