Terms and Conditions

1. Definitions

The words in the table below mean the following:

2. The promoter

Nedbank Eswatini Ltd Reg No CB39/1974/TIN1002300000 runs the Nedbank Pigg’s Peak Agency Guess the Official Opening Date competition and we reserve the right to make it available to a select group(s) of clients and non-clients. 

3. Promotion period

The promotion starts on 27 August and ends on 2 September 2026.

4. Who may/may not participate in the promotion

4.1 This promotion is open to all members of the public, with a special invitation to the residents of Pigg’s Peak and surrounding communities to participate.

4.2 Participants in the promotion, you must be:

4.1.1 A citizen of Eswatini with a valid Eswatini identity document;

4.1.2 18 years or older;

4.1.3 Both Nedbank and non-Nedbank clients

4.2 Our employees (including temporary and contract employees), associated companies (Spar Pigg’s Peak employees) may not participate in the promotion.

5. The offer

5.1 If you participate in the promotion, you stand a chance to receive either shopping vouchers and/or fabulous Nedbank branded promotional merchandise packs/hampers

5.2 Only 20 people stand a chance to win the fabulous prizes.

5.3 Winners will be the first 20 participants to correctly guess the official opening date of the Nedbank Pigg’s Peak Agency/branch.

5.4 The first 2 people to make the correct guess will win a shopping voucher worth E500.00 each.

5.5 The rest of the winners (18 people) will win fabulous Nedbank branded promotional merchandise packs/hampers.

6. How to qualify for the offer

6.1 To qualify for the offer, you must do the following during the promotion period:

6.1.1 Follow the official Nedbank Eswatini Facebook page and like the competition/promotion post(s).

6.1.2 Guess the date (day, month, year) of the official opening of the new Nedbank Pigg’s Peak Agency/branch.

6.1.3 Use the hashtags #Pigg’sPeakLaunch #LoveNedbankEswatini #BankingMadeLocal to go with your answer

6.1.4 Entries will be considered in the order they are received on the competition post.

6.1.5 Only one entry per person will be accepted/considered.

7. How the offer is given out

7.1 Winners will be announced on the Nedbank Eswatini Facebook page after the closing date of the competition.

7.2 Winners will receive the offer only after we have verified and confirmed details, including their compliance with these terms and conditions.

7.2.1 If we cannot verify your details before awarding the offer, we will send a direct message (DM) to the social media account you used to participate in the promotion, asking for your personal information and contact details (e.g. your email address and ID number and cellphone number). You must respond within 2 business days of receiving the DM.

7.2.2 We will call you on the cellphone number you provided to confirm how you will redeem your prize. OR

7.2.3 You must choose your nearest Nedbank branch to collect the offer. When you arrive at the branch, we will first verify your details before we hand you the offer. OR

7.2.4 We will email you at the email address that you have provided.

7.2.5 The shopping vouchers will expire after 30 business days from date of the announcement of the competition winners.

7.2.6 If a winner cannot redeem their prize, for whatever reason, when contacted, or if they reject it, we will select the next person who guessed the date right as the replacement winner.

8. Conditions and limitations

8.1 We will not be responsible for any technical failures affecting your participation in the promotion or if your entry has been left out from participation.

8.2 If a dispute arises, our decision will be final and binding on all aspects of the promotion, and we will not discuss the matter further.

8.3 All costs or expenses relating to the offer that have not been mentioned here are excluded.

8.4 We will not be responsible for any delays in your taking up the offer.

8.5 We will not be responsible for any additional conditions that third parties impose.

8.6 We will give the offer directly to you and not to anyone else, and we will not replace it with cash.

8.7 We will not be liable for delays or failure to deliver any part of the offer resulting from acts beyond our reasonable control. We will let you know as soon as reasonably possible if the offer is affected in this way.

8.8 We reserve the right to replace the offer at any time with another of similar commercial value.

9. General

9.1 All information about this promotion, including information that is published on any promotional material, is part of these terms and conditions.

9.2 By participating in the promotion, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

9.3 These terms and conditions are available on our website at nedbank.co.sz throughout the promotion period.

9.4 We may ask you to consent in writing to endorsing, promoting and advertising any of our services, without payment. If you decline our request, you will still receive the offer.

9.5 By entering and participating in this promotion, you acknowledge that your personal information needed for the promotion will be shared with us and our agents, but only to the extent necessary for this promotion. Your personal information will be used in line with Eswatini consumer and data protection laws.

9.6 We may extend, shorten or cancel the promotion immediately and without notifying you if it is permitted by law, if we must do so by law, or for reasons beyond our control. If this happens, you will give up any rights that you may have in terms of this promotion and you will have no recourse against us or our agents, contractors or sponsors as a result of the extension, shortening or cancellation.

9.7 We or our directors, employees, agents or suppliers will not be responsible for any direct or indirect loss or damage resulting from your participation in the promotion, or for any accident, injury, harm, costs, or death that you or any other person who participates in the offer sustains at any point during the fulfilment of the offer.

9.8 This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook.
